Kim is an experienced higher education professional with more than a decade of service as the Title IX Coordinator at Knox College. There, she developed a deep commitment to promoting equity, social justice, and care through Title IX processes and resolution options, including restorative justice measures. She is well-versed in guiding students, faculty, and staff through concerns, complaints, investigations, and resolutions and approaches her work with a focus on fairness, thorough communication, and empathy. 

 

Kim has experience appointing outside experts and providing review and oversight to ensure a timely and fair process in any formal complaint. Her use of restorative justice measures and other available resolution options reflects her commitment to addressing the needs of all parties with compassion and integrity. Through her efforts, she has built impactful initiatives to prevent gender discrimination and promote a respectful, inclusive campus climate.

Previous Experience

At Knox College, Kim developed and implemented a robust intersectional peer educator program that delivered comprehensive and innovative programming on a variety of platforms throughout the year, including the use of social media. She introduced active bystander training and collaborated with institutional leadership, faculty, athletics, and student organizations to help build a healthy and respectful culture of community responsibility.

 

Kim also worked to ensure National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) compliance within the college as part of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and coaching in various capacities. She has completed the Restorative Justice for Sexual Misconduct Practitioner Certification from the National Center for Equity and Agency (NCEA).

 

Presentations & Publications

Kim annually served as the primary educator for in-person programs for students, faculty, and staff at Knox College as part of primary and ongoing education.
